Two Special Ocassions

Hello Everyone! Here are 2 cards for 2 special ocassions. The first card is for a few of my RAK and others friends on the Scraps of Color website Just wanted to say hello to them and what better way than a handmade greeting card. The second card is for my sweetie's birthday. Even though his birthday was last Friday, I am having a party for him this Saturday. My life has changed since we got together. I never thought I would ever have someone in my life that really, really cares about me and always wants me to be happy. All I can say is thank you Lord. I want to show him how much I appreciate him.

He deserves it and so much more. I hope I will make some more cards soon. It just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. I'm gonna do my best though. A Lot of Great Buys

Hello Everyone! From this weekend until today, it has been a really good time for me. Here are some of the items I got from Michael's in Paducah, KY and JoAnn's in Carbondale, IL. I love going to JoAnn's because we don't have one in Paducah. Wheather it's JoAnn's in Carbondale, IL or in Louisville, KY, I'm like a kid in a candy store. Now I have to get busy making some cards for some special people.

Brown all around

Hello everyone! I have had a ball making these cards. It's been a while since I have made some cards and I finally got some time to play with my cricut expression. As you can see the fisrt two cards has the owl and the lady made from some of the carts I own. I must admit I wasn't sure if I was going to like using my cricut expression because it seemed to me to be to much work. Today was the first time I spent time just cutting out items I like, Then I thought I needed to make some cards using these items. And to my surprise I reaaly have had fun. My friend came over today and I cut some items for her too.
I guess you can tell I like brown and green. These are the colors my office/craft room is decorated in. Hope you like these cards as much as I do.
The last single card was my submission to a challenge for another blog I follow. It was titled "One For The Men". A lot of others took a sexy approach when creating their card, but I found this image and decided to take a humorous approach.

Another layout

Hello Everyone!!! This is another layout from another challenge from Colorful Creations. This challenge, Countdown with a sketch, asked the participant to make a layout using a male or males photo, with 2 or more patterned paper, 3 or more buttons or brads and incorporate some pink color. Oh no, not male and pink! I automatically thought of this photo I took of my great nephew. His name is Dekorius Green. We call him Woo Woo and he always ask "what my do?" He is all boy, so using the pink is just doing what the layout called for. I enjoyed working with this challenge and will be doing more of the challenges. This and cardmaking is therapy for me because it is so relaxing!!!!

My Sherona

Hello everyone!!! It's been a little while since I've posted anything on my blog and I dont have any excuse. I just don't have enough hours in a day. I haven't made any cards lately, but here is my submission in a challenge on one of my favorite blogs, Colorful Creations. This challenge was to do a layout featuring a song title. It just so happens that everywhere I go somebody sings My, My, My, My Sherona to me. I know I have an unusual name and to think someone wrote a song using my unusual name.
Well I'm going to get back down to business and try to make some cards this week. I really miss making cards like I use to and it's going to take me to change that.
